TRIDEC Names New President/CEO

Karl Dye of Lewiston, ID, has been announced as the new President/CEO of the Tri-City Development Council (TRIDEC). The TRIDEC Board of Directors selected Dye from a nation-wide pool of applicants.

Dye comes to TRIDEC with experiences in marketing, corporate relations, and more than a decade in economic development.

Currently, Dye serves as President/CEO of Valley Vision, Inc. – a public-private, multi-jurisdictional economic development organization representing Lewiston, ID; Clarkston, WA; Nez Perce County, ID; Asotin County, WA; and the ports of Lewiston, Clarkston and Whitman.

Additionally, Dye brings extensive experience working with Idaho National Lab (INL), a sister organization of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), the Department of Energy, Battelle, and multiple other energy-related contractors.

“It’s clear TRIDEC is deeply ingrained in the history and growth of the Tri-Cities,” Dye said. “From their advocacy on behalf of Hanford and PNNL, to their work in the agribusiness and manufacturing industries, I’m thrilled for the opportunity to lead the TRIDEC team and uphold its legacy of leadership.”

“I’m also honored to hopefully carry on the ‘Carl’ legacy,” Dye added, referencing Carl Adrian, TRIDEC’s retiring President/CEO. After a 16-year career with TRIDEC, Adrian’s last day will be Jan. 31, 2020.

Dye is slated to take the helm in early February. He’ll arrive in the Tri-Cities with his wife, Tiffany, and their two children Hattie and Henry.
